ZAPS ACT Preparation Seminar (2005)
2009 - In 2009, juniors from Galesburg High School again attended the ZAPS seminar to help them prepare for the Prairie State Achievement Exam and the ACT College Entrance Test. The Foundation was pleased to fund 10 full scholarships enabling needy students to attend this concentrated preparation seminar.
2008 - 2008 had 81 students attending this very beneficial seminar program. Results of higher ACT scores are being shown in the students and the Foundation was able to help 16 financially disadvantaged students with full scholarships.
2007 - In April 2007, nearly 100 juniors from Galesburg High School attended the ZAPS seminar to help them prepare for the ACT College Entrance Test. The Foundation was pleased to fund nearly 45 scholarships enabling worthy students to attend this concentrated preparation seminar.
2006 - For the second year, in April 2006, many juniors from Galesburg High School attended ZAPS, a five hour seminar to help them prepare for the ACT College Entrance Test. The Foundation was pleased to again fund several scholarships enabling worthy students to attend this concentrated preparation seminar.
2005 - Juniors from Galesburg High School attended ZAPS, a five hour seminar to help them prepare for the ACT College Entrance Test. The ACT is a standardized and timed test. Research has shown that concentrated preparation for the ACT can help students achieve better scores and experience has shown that students participating in the ZAPS ACT seminar achieve a of 1 – 5 point score increase. The Foundation was pleased to fund several scholarships enabling worthy students to attend this concentrated preparation seminar who might not have been able to afford the fee.
